I think Canada needs a national wild fire strategy. Can we roll it into our defense spending and count it towards our Nato obligations?

Sure, we just need to convince the pentagon that the fires are some sort of communist strategy to destabilise our economy. Or maybe that the fires are burning precious oil that should be liberated.

I think it would be easier to sell it in national security concerns as it would be a blow the the stability of the region to be disrupted by fires.
