CA$110,848 /yr -- Senior Firefighter

CA$123,695 /yr -- Lead Firefighter

It's a manual labour job that pays basically six figures when you start. The reason for that is the risk... The same reason other jobs pay high like crab fisherman.

Are those numbers for wildfire firefighters? My brother is a crew lead in Alberta and he isn't making that much...

Similarly those that work in mining are at risk of similar respiratory issues etc. However not all of it can be mitigated or protected against practically.
