Name a legit reason why there is a couch in an office, you are taking a picture of someone interviewing for a job with you, and the angle of the camera suggests you taking the picture upwards.
It's also, I have heard from friends, a common introduction scene in porn.
None of that occurred to me, so I was also confused.
