It's the dunk tank.

This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow chapos. Wreckers/CHUDs are allowed. If they aren't banned yet then report them, don't post them.

Shoutout to @[email protected] for their excellent effortpost response. Always good to remember in situations like this, going to the effort to actually refute and answer and educate is important not to fix the dweeb they are responding to, but so that anyone else who comes to see the interaction can see the stark difference between bullshit and the slightest research

Begging the question or begging for questions

A comrade already pointed this out in another post, but it seems like most liberals are unable to grasp the fact that the US isn’t a villain in a back room twirling its mustache while trying to inflict as much harm as possible on the world for the sake of causing harm. It’s a profit-driven death cult that will write off each atrocity and sociopathic intention as a business expense.

Excuse my ignorance but do these resolutions have any kind of real world consequences at all? Or is it just 100% performative? And if it’s the latter why does the US go out of its way to show itself the villain?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

It is performative and it is virtue signalling tbh, but if that's the case, voting against it is pretty much just vice signalling

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Typical liberal response.

”Hey, do you want to make the world a better place?”

maybe-later-kiddo ”Too expensive! WhO's GoNnA PaY fOr It?”

What if society improves somewhat and the planet is more survivable and it was all for nothing? maybe-later-honey

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago

"Stop being a bad person" I say as I defend the U.S. voting against making food a human right, on the grounds of cynicism

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

these people genuinely think they're the protaganist of a YA novel

The deepest criticism you could levy at this mentality is that it's the U.S. that is by far most responsible for making a mockery of international law.

"I didn't say per Capita" bro that's exactly what you should expect of aid. No one is expecting idk, Lesotho to name some random small nation to give billions and billions in aid.

Per capita and percentage of sovereign wealth are the two main metrics people would judge off, not total amounts.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah “Humans Rights” is a ridiculous framing of any issue

America would have to pay for more food and we already give the world enough aid

I hope they personally starve to death.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

I hope Stalin rises from the grave and uses his giant spoon to eat all of their food personally. stalin-spoon

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Isn’t “virtue signaling” a term fascists use? I think this might be a fascist, not a liberal, although both suck.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago
  1. Yes, the US is purposely starving the world.

This but unironically
