Also sad that there appears to be no governmental coordination for dealing with invasive species in BC, despite the existence and funding of the Invasive Species Council of BC.

The last time I was on the island all I could think of while driving down the highway was just how much friggin broom weed there was. EVERYWHERE. It was a field of yellow the entire length of the highway. Why is no one trying to control that shit? It chokes out all the native growth and trees.
