Summary

Donald Trump criticized Seth Meyers' NBC late-night show in a Truth Social post, calling it a "political hit" against Republicans and demanding Comcast face consequences for hosting such programming.

Trump accused the network of bias, labeling Meyers untalented and NBC/MSNBC as aligned with the "Radical Left."

This continues Trump's long-standing feud with Comcast and major media outlets.

His remarks also recall previous threats to challenge media licenses and FCC actions under his administration, highlighting broader tensions between Trump and media conglomerates.

[–] [email protected] 115 points 1 month ago (4 children)

4 years of this shit. I hope a fucking meteor wipes us out..

[–] [email protected] 45 points 1 month ago (5 children)

Rather than wish the death of everyone, why not just aim for the death of one man?

[–] [email protected] 61 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Because there's plenty more where he came from.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ok.

And once the head of the snake is cut off, during the subsequent power vacuum, start chopping up the rest of the snake.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Lots of people wished death on him but still his plot armor protected him.

Only way to rid ourselves of him is nuking the universe, but even then I’m not certain it’ll work.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

After nuclear winter the only things that remain will be cockroachs, Twinkies, and Donald fucking Trump...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Isn't that list redundant? All you mentioned were cockroaches and Twinkies...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Hey now, cockroaches are merely horrifying.

I never really made the connection but homeboy has not only the resilience but also the physique of a human-sized tardigrade, maybe he actually is one?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

Only 1 person has actually tried it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Help us, Han-Tyumi, you're our only hope.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago

Because he'd just turn his head right before the meteor hits him

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Kyle tried it, Jack dumped him

[–] [email protected] 34 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ideally just the inauguration.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Indeed. Not all humans (TM). Just the likes of people that joined up with the qons.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Not all of us…just most of America. And most of what’s in Westminster.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

The only silver lining I can see about this situation, is that he won't try again in an other 4 years time.

At least, I hope.

Comcast is literally in the process of spinning NBC off into it's own company, so this won't last long. In fact, expect them to quicken the pace of kicking NBC to the curb.

Also, fuck Comcast, they're one of the few that I could really give a shit about Trump fucking over.

Finally, are we really lamenting the potential loss of the traditional media like NBC who prioritized Trump coverage because it brought in ratings? Maybe we should let them fucking die already if that's how they're trying to stay afloat.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

Yeah I agree, living in Philly you see the Comcast building that looks like it’s a middle finger to America, so let’em fight.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I thought Comcast [/Universal/NB frickinC] gave Don a million for the inaugural, no?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 month ago

I guess a terrorist will be occupying the White House.

When these douchebags talk about "free speech", remember that they never fucking mean it. They only mean THEIR free speech, and no one should counter them.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 month ago

This is likely the most oblique he will ever be about the consequence a free press should fear.

By next week it will be much more explicit.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Scary thing is that there is a very real chance Comcast will bend the knee, cough up some dough, and make Seth Meyers apologize.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago

I don't think Seth would. I don't know a ton about him, but I do know that he is very sharp, and would have no issues finding work elsewhere.

It would be extremely disappointing to see him actually apologize.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

So sick of this orange sphincter faced dickhead and he isn't even in office yet.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

Somebody doesn’t like me, waaaah! Mommy! Uh… Musky?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Where can I watch the show?

Found something, not sure if this is the one in question https://youtu.be/Za0E2uPauwc

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

They post both the intro monologue and A Closer Look segment on YouTube.

If you mean which one is Trump ranting about, I don’t know but I am sure Seth is already writing the jokes.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Ok, thanks. Not from the US, so wasn't too sure om the name of the show from the original article.

Edit Google search tells me it's "Late Night With Seth Meyers" 😁

Fascism rejects the view that violence is inherently negative or pointless but rather views imperialism, political violence, and war as means to national rejuvenation.[11][12] Fascists often advocate for the establishment of a totalitarian one-party state,[13][14] and for a dirigiste economy (a market economy in which the state plays a strong directive role through economic interventionist policies), with the principal goal of achieving autarky (national economic self-sufficiency).[15][16] Fascism's extreme authoritarianism and nationalism centres around the own group, but that can manifest as a belief in Manifest Destiny, revival of historical greatness (like Mussolini seeking to restore the Roman Empire) or in case of Nazism, racial purity or a master race which blended with some variant of racism or discrimination against a demonized "Other", such as Jews, homosexuals, transgender people, ethnic minorities, or immigrants. These ideas have motivated fascist regimes to commit massacres, forced sterilizations, deportations, and genocides.[17][18] During World War II, the genocidal and imperialist ambitions of the fascist Axis powers resulted in the murder of millions of people.

Trump is a true constitutionalist.

Meyer's stuff hits home, I'm sure Donny's too fragile to take those truth bombs.

Where my Jackals at?

A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Maybe if trump is an even bigger bitch, then he will be a big strong boy who has friends and doesn't pee in the bed.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

....let them fight? Not a huge fan of either of those.
