In a roundabout way, it still applies.

The opening statement didn't directly say that it was only talking about experiencing those things in toto, just that those things are part of human nature. Being asexual and/or aromantic is still part of those things, and a part of human nature thereby.

However, I will honor our gods, if only they will tell us pitiful mortals what sacrifice they demand
