- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

This is a sign that Trump to some degree fears blowback. He wouldn't make statements like this if he thought there was no threats to his power. He wants you to think he's already obtained 100% power so you don't fight fight back
Yes, absolutely. The more cynical replies of disbelief are missing why Trump would say anything at all.

This is just CYA for Trump. Faux News will report this headline, maga will claim he’s following the law, and then he’ll continue to ignore court orders at will.
I'll only add that he'll also cry about the deep state being very mean to him...

The fact that he went out of his way to proactively say he would means that he most certainly will not.
