Optum bought the local clinic and so far my wife's rheumatologist and nephrologist both have left.

Can't wait to see where this will lead.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (3 children)

Do you know where they have left to? I wonder where Medical Doctors consider better places.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 4 months ago

At this point, probably McDonalds.

I live in the PNW, my doctor retired. Multicare, instead of just transferring my wife and I to different doctors, did nothing, and now are treating us, did nothing.

We are being treated as new patients and the earliest a new patient can be seen is October 29th. Yes, 9 months away.

The earliest date I have been givenrom any of the other doctors offices I have called was June.

The joke used to be whenever anybody asked why their area had so few doctors was that they doctors all were in Seattle. Yeah, maybe, but they certainly aren't seeing anybody in a timely manner.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 months ago

What a coincidence, I'm also in the area.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

I hope they come back to Canada, we could really use a couple here. We don't pay as much, but at least you won't have to tell a patient they can't afford life saving care.... (yet)

LoL! RICH people are ALLOWED to MURDER Working Class People you STUPID WOKE DEI SOCIALIST!

[–] [email protected] 23 points 4 months ago

And the 2A is to allow the working class to take out their frustrations on other working class members and commit more harshly punished crimes to allow for longer sentences in the slave factories.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago

Bloody COMMUNISTS with their expectations that rich and poor are treated the same!

Remember denying health care for profit is a noble cause that is should be celebrated in our capitalistic hellhole.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 4 months ago (3 children)

You have "access" to health care, and that should be enough for you peasants.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago

Yes, my Liege. We shall be happy with the "access" to health care.

[–] MystikIncarnate 5 points 4 months ago

Access is granted, right up until you need to make a claim. As long as you're paying them and not the other way around, your access will remain granted.

Not just arrested. Luigi's been mostly in solitary confinement and straight jackets this whole time.

[–] [email protected] 71 points 4 months ago (2 children)

The drug I've paid $25/15 pills for the past couple months suddenly jumped up to $140 this week. I tried giving CVS a GoodRX coupon to knock it down to $75 and they told me they no longer accept them.

It's an important drug to me, but luckily not vital to my survival. Still, fuck this healthcare system.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

They dont accept goodrx? https://support.goodrx.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004952983-My-pharmacy-won-t-accept-GoodRx-What-do-I-do apparently you can call them if needed. I've never used it myself though.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

According to a thread I found on the bad place, individual pharmacists can make the decision to reject coupons for prescription drugs. This was per an account that claimed to be a GoodRx rep

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago (4 children)

That's even better.

If it's an individual pharmacist doing it, you know where they work, you go give them shit every day.

I won't fault the guy behind the counter if CVS has a policy. But if that guy behind the counter made the decision? Fuck that guy in particular. He's gonna hear about it.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 months ago

He's gonna hear about it.

Luigi used a silencer.

Hi, I'm an independent pharmacist

  1. CVS is CVS Caremark Aetna... They are as big as it gets in healthcare. They are a big 3 PBM ruining the whole system and the number 1 pharmacy chain. If you have any choice at all don't use them

  2. Goodrx takes money on the back end from stores and sells your info. Most independents don't use them, but they'll have an in house price that is usually not going to be much worse than goodrx

  3. Someone in this thread making a joke about assassinating a pharmacist is... I don't even know what.

CVS did a good job of some areas of wiping out competition in their expansion days so you may not have other options. If that's really the case, you could fight big with big and see if Amazon has a better rate. Though really it sucks that your insurance would increase the copay so much on you.

Though really it sucks that your insurance would increase the copay so much on you.

Oh, we are way beyond that point. My insurance stopped paying for this drug years ago. Told me I had reached the "lifetime benefit limit". This is all out of pocket and the price yo-yos constantly. It's not the first time it's been this high.

The amount of warnings and bans I got from reddit so far for saying shit like that. Good thing I'm not there now.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

The amount of shit i took on reddit and thought it was normal… i‘m sober for around two years now and it feels very good. Abusive relationships are an insane thing. We dont understand when it happens, especially when we are born into it.

I‘m kinda sad for all the non milennials who didnt grow up with „the matrix“. That movie aged like fine milk.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 4 months ago

Even though I made a new account... two new accounts. One of them had a three day ban before I deleted it. I decided to make another one (using a temp email of course) just for porn and some niche interests of mine. With my second one that only has a warning I will not repeat how netenyahu and Elon deserve to be arrested and executed for their crimes.

And apparently simply calling for the imprisonment of Elong's fucking infant squad for very obvious crimes is apparently a call for violence! Well then I guess wanting armed robbers to be jailed is also glorification of violence!

[–] [email protected] 28 points 4 months ago

no no no... it's not like you're not allowed to kill poors. cops do it all the time. so do corporations. and president's. and civilians too, one just got released for killing a homeless person around the time Luigi was arrested for allegedly shooting a corporate demon, according to unsubstantiated rumors.

corporations are people, my friend; poors are not.

The laws are written and enforced for the benefit of the rich. Not yours.

The system is working as designed.

It's not designed to help you, but it's working as it was designed to work.

Seems like terrorism to me...

I hope those parents find justice. With their son gone there's no telling what might happen. I hope the ceo chokes on his toast.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I know what you mean, but comments like yours always make me feel sad. Like, what is justice in this context? A just world would be one in which their son is still alive. Justice died with him.

My own experience of litigating an injustice sticks with me. No amount of compensation can ever undo a wrong that should've never been allowed to happen.

So who's next? We need a tribute to volunteer taking care af a CEO

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago

I think it'd be more effective if the perp got away with it.

More fear for the billionaires.

People need to storm the streets and fuck shit up like the French. They can’t arrest us all

Real change isn't going to happen until a few more get Luigi'd

[–] MystikIncarnate 12 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

I'm honestly hoping that the next time someone gets so tired of these mass murdering dick heads, that enough lessons have been learned from Luigi's situation that the entire populous turns into Johnny tightlips, and the feds can't find them.

I swear that Luigi would have lived a long, happy life if not for that one person who called him in.

"few" is really unscientific. everyone knows for an experiment to yield reliable results you need a representative sample size. and then repeat the experiment to see if it gives the same result. only then you can be confident.
