Food wise Canada is in good shape domestically apart from more tropical fruit like oranges and bananas. So much we can grow across the country

Did you see the news story last week about citrus growing on Vancouver Island? Supposedly it can be grown for pennies per fruit as long as the plants are covered and given a bit of warmth in cold weather (the guy in the story was using old-fashioned outdoor Xmas lights). Obviously it's not being grown at scale on the Island but the fact that it could be is interesting.

I like how it says "Proudly Manitoban" but half the stuff on there is from other provinces.

The sentiment is right, even if the wording isn't.

The sign has existed for a long time before the current trade war.

In the before days it did feature exclusively Manitoba product.

I assume thwy simply haven't recieved a "proudly Canadian " sign yet, so they're using what they have.
