This is an older article from propublica, but this is the explanation for anyone wondering why they are doing what they're doing to federal workers.

Trump and his team are purposely trying to break the government. And whatever bullshit reasons they give about a Marxist takeover or the deep state or whatever, the actual effect is that China and Russia will win the century and America will lose.

“We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected,” he said. “When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down so that the EPA can't do all of the rules against our energy industry because they have no bandwidth financially to do so.

“We want to put them in trauma.”

Yeah, it's harassment is what it is.

Laws mean nothing to this admin, however they don't yet have total judicial capture.

If you work for the government in a civil or administrative capacity call a labor/employment lawyer now. You'll get to keep your pension AND get a helluva settlement. Plus if you want, you can keep your job.

Bureaucrats are management. Not the front line workers who they are actually targeting and laying off. The douche himself is a bureaucrat. None of this matters to them though.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago

that's not who trump is calling beurocrats. he means anyone that doesnt support him.

we want them to not want to go to work

Mission accomplished

because they are increasingly viewed as the villains

Misson spectacularly failed. There's never been more sympathy for federal workers. They made Republican members of congress not want to go to town halls because they are increasingly viewed as the villains.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

After they voted to cut Medicaid I doubt they will do a townhall again.

They call them "bureaucrats" but they're actually ordinary working Americans just trying to do the best job they can in a public service role. Of course, the Trump administration sees such people as its enemies, and those they cannot make unemployed they want to make suffer.

These people are sociopaths. There's no other way to describe them.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

I like calling them traitors.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

Domestic abusers who wish domestic abuse could be their job, not just their hobby.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago

The word is terrorism, like terrorists do

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 days ago

No, these asshats are bureaucrats. We are just trying to do our jobs. You will never convince me that a bunch of engineers trying to keep our space program running are just bureaucrats that need to be put in their place.

That goes for the rest of the agency as well. These dickheads are clearly trying to bring down the government so they can do whatever they want out of the ashes. It's plain as day to anybody with two brain cells to rub together.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago

Sounds completely stupid an irresponsible.

So that tracks for the Republican party and every single Republican voter I've ever come in contact with.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago

It is high time we traumatize the republican traitor filth.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

So toxic workplace harassment with the goal of getting people to quit their jobs. Sounds "very cool, very legit" territory...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Funny, that's exactly how I want this administration to feel about its citizens.

They need to start fearing us, if the people are hungry enough, we might just eat them!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

I’d say we should do that to them, but I would be banned

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

This should be brought up every time somebody says they're trying to make the government more efficient. That's an obvious lie covering for the fact they're trying to cripple the government's ability to do anything.

We want their funding to be shut down so that the EPA can't do all of the rules against our energy industry because they have no bandwidth financially to do so.

Anyone who demands better proof than that is being unreasonable.
