The paper, due to be voted on tomorrow (20 May), means Labour will ban trans women from:

❌ All-women shortlists ❌ Women's Conference ❌ Being Women's Officers

In the original post are images of the leaked paper in question.

Observing from outside, UK politics looks really grim.

Neck and neck with US? As an American I feel like the UK is both better (some social protections and healthcare), worse (social mobility, pay, legacy monarchy shite like hereditary house of lords BS), and the same (private companies and the wealthy lobbying away what is right, elected officials selling the silverware by privatizing shit, debt, shooting themselves in the foot with economic suicides credit, tariffs...).

Anyone else have thoughts? Which is the worse country to live in for the average person?

Wtf is wrong with those people? Don't they have a country (into the ground while making themselves and their buddies even richer)?

I thought Labour was centre left?

What's up with the sudden obsession over gender and trans rights in the UK? I thought that was a conservative culture war thing.

Same as in every liberal "democracy". The minute line stops shooting up the libs start paving the way for the jackboots to march. See: the DNC's 'electability' politics and their obsession with the border.

Well the UK used to have a one idiot per village and life was fine as everyone ignored them. Then the internet came along and all the village idiots gathered together on social media to create a town of idiots. Then people saw the town and thought I'll join this group of very active people and it became a city. Now you have a city of idiots and sheep. And what happens when you get a big group of easily exploitable people together in one place?

If I were to guess, I'd say they're trying to sweeten up to the reform crowd and address their bigoted rage to try and take the wind out of Russian Backed PM Farage next election.

The problem, of course, is that all them seething boomers will always just be told what the next thing they're angry about is. So it's pointless. The global rise of the hateful fascist avalanche has already begun, and it's impossible to reason with.

Essentialism is the source of so many pointless debates.

What would Thatcher say?

You turn if you want to. The lady's not for turning.
