Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Man helps throw gasoline on his own house that was set fire by arsonist who told everyone he was going to burn houses ..... the man who threw gasoline around is now heartbroken that his house is on fire.

If only there was some way to know that this would happen!

[–] [email protected] 13 points 23 hours ago

Sadly history has nothing to teach us and we can't predict the future. What are ya gonna do?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 23 hours ago

Doesn't anyone care about the poor CEOs anymore? Lol. Trump said he was going apply tariffs, which always reduce trade. He's getting exactly what he voted for.

Missing from the article: lessons learned.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He won't learn

These idiots are constantly saying that despite the shitfuckery, they'd vote the same way again

Then the article is accurate because no lessons were learned.

Not killing enough minorities to make the hit to your wallet worth it, Craig?

Face eating leopards gotta eat too.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 23 hours ago

Womp womp.

The only sympathy I have is for the overworked employees.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 23 hours ago

Very clear example of the media being very divorced from middle class realities.

Bro, we don’t feel bad for poor people who voted for their demise, and you think we would care about CEOs?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

"But how could the Leopards eat MY face???" screamed the man who voted for the Leopards-Eating-People's-Faces Party at the Leopards-Eating-People's-Faces Party rally.

Absolute fucking clowns.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I think the one thing that visual misses out on is that no one accounted for how many would describe themselves as loving having their face eaten.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 20 hours ago

Or at least say that it's worth it to own the libs

Stock Market is Up.

That's all these people care about. The US can become a country that only knows how to make weird AI advertisements and MLM scams, and so long as GDP goes up these people will think everything is fine.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 23 hours ago

The stock market is around the same level it was 6 months ago and still down from the beginning of his presidency

[–] [email protected] 5 points 22 hours ago

Heartbreaking to only them. You get what you vote for

[–] [email protected] 6 points 23 hours ago

This just the beginning. It takes time for all these effects to show themselves. Takes time for mortgages to go I to foreclosure. Etc.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 22 hours ago

This, predictably, does not break my heart.

I heard this in Jerry's voice.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

LOL! I hope he starves.

The jobs of the future aren't in the manufacturing. These are the jobs of the past.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Retards will vote for another corrupt criminal.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

This statement doesn't need a slur to get the point across

[–] [email protected] 2 points 14 hours ago

Protecting the people who vote for a full resume of corruption, scams and being a convicted felon into presidnecy is way more important than pointing out their flaws in mental state.

As a disabled person myself, I encourage you to seethe harder
