I would not want to cross paths with that giraffe! It looks like it's seen some shit and done some shit π
That's a great drawing!! I love it's expression and the volcano!!!
Early night tonight. Goodnight all β€οΈ
Night night!
Damn, was going to unwind with an episode of Murderbot but it is released Fridays, not Thursdays. But then I remembered all of The Bear s4 is available! I did need to read a recap of S3 because some of it was so slow but I also somehow forgot the amazing Napkins was in it too. I'm actually kind of happy that s4 is not returning to the insane intensity of S1 and S2 but let's see where these characters go. The development of folks like Ritchie and Tina is what really makes the show.
That was actually a really uplifting and lovely psych session?! Yay! βΊοΈ I might not even need to see her for a while even though I'm still undecided as to whether I should terminate my lease and dump all my stuff in storage, or just pay rent until I get back. Leaving my stuff here is much, much easier, but I don't want to be in the same rut. A lot hinges on whether I can trust myself to courageously move towards change if I come back to the same place.
I can feel a decision bubbling up though. And other ways in which to address that yearning for a powerful driver of change
That's a good thing. π
Slices of pork belly in the air fryer - suitably marinated. Have worked out how to cook them and get the skin crispy. Tinfoil you are my friend in this endeavour.
We are at your door
Wafting the perfume of crisp crackled pork belly skin over the aether to you.
Much gratitude.
The bedside tables are assembled!
They may win the award for worst designed flat pack I've ever experienced. Multiple screws with a hex fitting recessed into the wood so you can't get tools into them and can only turn a hex key less than a quarter turn before having to reposition. Plus a couple of instructions that were physically impossible. I had to make a few alterations to make it possible to get them together, but I think they are done solidly enough. The quality of the actual components is good and I like the overall design, but actually putting them together was definitely not something I'd want to repeat.
This is how close I can get atm.
That tabby likes you! They're marking you!
yup, that's a cat tail cuddle
Melbcat βmonkey tailsβ me and people she likes by wrapping it around us, itβs her version of a hug.
I know when sheβs sick because along with the other body language she sometimes βhugsβ herself with her tail to self soothe.
Ooohh progress!
Omg. It looks like youβre getting a tail hug. (Cats wrapping their tail around someone is a sign of affection)
good night everyone π sweet dreams
It just hit me. Melbcat has IBD. So maybe sheβs having a flare.
This could explain the increased appetite, being sick, the accidents, the cryingβ¦ She seems a lot better now but Iβm going to get right back on the vets in the morning and ask. There is something that can be done about that.
Cheesy garlic bread. You will be mine.
I was tempted at the shops just now but I already had an early dinner of stodgy soup. Instead I will finish up this jar of salsa with a new bag of corn chips yeehaw
I read that in Wayne Campbell's voice.
@[email protected] Watching tonight?
Game so far has been much better than I thought.
Yes. Who'd ya pick?
Doggies, was expecting a one sided match but looks like Pagan really fired them up.
Fuck
Took today off, just needed it. Did a little bit of shopping (looking for new gym shoes if anyone has any recs), had a yum lunch and a long swim. Twas lovely.
Income statement says tax ready but when I got and try to do my tax return it says the pre-filled information from my income statement is not tax ready.
I guess I have to wait another day and hope it updates tomorrow. :(
Today was AWESOME, met so many familiar and wonderful faces at this event and really recharged, invigorated by the presentations and this glorious sun has really perked me up as well. Wrapped up early and probably not working tomorrow, but I'll have at least earned some extra dough this week and have a bit more breathing space to catch up on life stuff. I might even look up what's on this weekend. But for the next couple of hours, it's journalling time before the psych
So glad you had a good day o day and you got paid for it too!
For sure! Although I would've liked to work a bit tomorrow and pile up the cash, I'm also grateful to have an actual weekday breather - last week I worked a full day on the day I submitted my assignment, and it's been full days this week too. Tomorrow I can take my time to chill out at a park or head out somewhere nice without too many crowds. Start reconnecting to who the hell I am outside of work and study
Top 10 Anime Betrayals: There are no biscuits I can eat at Aldi and the Woolies brand gingersnaps are actually good.
I've just put together the small bookshelf I bought for the lounge room, now I just need to summon the energy to do the bedside tables and I'll be done with flatpacks. Tomorrow I'll be taking the polystyrene to the recycling centre and finalising the stuff at my old house. Then I'll be able to fully focus on the unpacking and sorting here.
The old manager tried to take a swipe at me again today.
Mate, just fuck off lol
Can't let it go can he?
Man that sucks.
I fucked him right back and it was glorious hahaha
I suspect all these swipes and the drama is just a distraction from general incompetence and possible illegal actions.
Now that sounds awesome.
shells i got yesterday
these are Pacific Ocean shells, they are big, but then the bigger ones are more likely to survive the rocky shore and waves intact
one of them is just a piece of a tun shell ( these are usually very big ) but I often pick up pieces just to know what kind of shells are around
Some of you know I write books. And I write spooky stories for kids. These stories are set in Tasmania. I have written 7 books in the series over the past 3 or so years.
Why is it only now I have thought up the story idea titled "How I got my Second Head?"
Staring at me this whole time.
I was part of the Medibank, Optus and Latitude cyber hacks, and just received a notification from Qantas that I'm involved in theirs. Protection of my personal information is just meaningless at this point.
