Yeah, I wondered how a Russian plane snuck past the embargo, but I figure it's the big honking plane by the pickup/dropoff road.
Hah, I just drove by it on the way to the airport yesterday. Itβs been a bit of a local celebrity since it got impounded last year. I imagine the cost to get it out of hock was higher than the plane is worth, airport parking is like $1/minute, which really adds up over a year!
took my first plane ride last may long weekend, landed in TO and saw this thing parked. seems its been there awhile now
Yep, apparently, it has been parked there since February 27, 2022.
I believe I read that the plane is going to be given to Ukraine once the war settles down.
