The sometime later is getting a call from the doctor that they have an STD and needed medication for it.

I also like how OP implied beer goggles were involved.

When using a crosswalk on foot, I always make sure a car is stopped in it's lane before proceeding to the next lane. Full eye contact. It doesn't matter that I'm in a crosswalk. I might have been in the right, but that won't matter if I die.

It's the same with cycling. Cameras will only help after the fact, and maybe a bit if it's very visible. But the best thing you can do is not trust any car, and avoid travelling where you have to trust cars.

If you upgraded to a Pentium, you could really get the visualizers going!

The Sunlit Man was so good. I love books that have fast pacing right from the start, and trying to figure out how the world worked was so much fun.

Time to open up a clinic right on the border!

Actually a vaccination clinic should be put in that library that straddles the border. That would be pretty neat.

I don't think he cares about filling the Treasury, unless you mean his personal bank account.

He sees tariffs as something other countries don't like. So if he uses the tool, he makes other countries come to him to make deals. These deals give him a chance to be bribed. That's all there is to it. And he's been successful since his family fortune has been increasing by $1,000,000,000/month since he took office. And crypto is the perfect method to enable this corruption.

This is pretty sad to hear. Fairphone was next on my list of phones to try when my current phone gets too old. With the US boycott, I might have to go back to Samsung, but I hate the bloat.

And they put a black woman on it. Ooooooo scary!

I love the vertical $10 bill.

Also the sort of things the schools spend money on. I don't know from experience, but I think US schools pay for police officers to be at the school. That seems crazy to me, and expensive.

You're welcome‽

Man, I can't believe he's injured already. Love the guy but you can't expect to get even half of a season out of him it seems.

On Thursday, the Alberta Dental Service Corporation (ADSC) said it had been hacked between May 7 and July 9. On the final day, the hackers communicated they had encrypted the data, were holding it ransom and demanded cryptocurrency in payment.

Lyle Best, the ADSC president, said the organization’s cyberinsurance was immediately engaged and the ransom was paid, recovering the data with a minimal loss of that data. Best also noted the corporation had secure backups.

Oh for fucks sake! You don't pay the ransom if you have backups! You're just enabling the hackers to make more attacks!
