I see.

Thank you for opening the issue!

Recent versions of Lemmy have the ability to set a custom thumbnail for a post:

thumbnail

Is this possible with PieFed? This is especially helpful when some sites fail to get a thumbnail (e.g. YT videos is a common one).

Beyond the fees, the senior executives should be required to do 24 months live-in community service (e.g. free phone repair for senior citizens) while being frozen out of their current assets/money. During this period they would only have access to minimum wage for their community service work.

I can guarantee you this will lead to a change in behaviour.

It works! :) Cheers!

BcacheFS seems to have been released around ~2019 and it's still alpha?

One thing you don't want to fuck around with is your file system. It's one area of computing where conservatism is paramount.

While that's true, I think it's best to keep everything as simple as possible for new users.

You joined Lemmy, you have a newtolemmy community where (hopefully) all your questions are answered. Same with Piefed.

Thank you so much!

I would imagine there shouldn't be much reason for a rejection, hopefully your PR goes through! :)

Cheers!

IMO [email protected] and [email protected] are more helpful than a generic fediverse focused community. By the time you know what the fediverse is (I used Mastodon before joining Lemmy and now Piefed), you don't need to deal with the noob questions.

I am old school and I've never been able to move beyond "sort by old" (we are talking almost 30 years of using what is now positioned as "social media").

Is there a possibility of "sort by old" being added to the comment sorting defaults? :)

I wonder what the physiological limit is for refresh rates.

I believe for monitor level distances, somewhere between 8K and 16K there is a hard limit beyond which human eyes can't tell the difference.

Hi,

I wanted to update the sidebar of [email protected] (recently moved from lemm.ee and sidebar makes references to lemm.ee rules).

Is there a URL for piefed.social rules that I could link?

Thanks
