Wasn't there an option to allow this or not long back? Something like immersive mode?

While scrolling All it does not happen. It happens if I open any post or go into any community.

Is there a setting to prevent this?

Wondering if they have fixed their camera software to keep Auto HDR off?

It is acceptable if it just used to lay a strong foundation for the work towards a solution. Instead you will probably get another such answer if you come back after doing it and then total silence while you keeping refreshing.

I have come across this interesting system settings module on Pling store. Is there a way to install it from within system settings like we can a theme, icons, widgets etc.? Or is it necessary to configure the package manager as suggested on the site?

https://www.pling.com/p/2229130

I have downloaded the tar.gz file hoping for a direct way to install it.

When did this happen?

I am actually happy with Multiling-O keyboard, please note that it is not open source.

I am expect a moderate uptick in the number of users because Fdroid is fairly known in certain circles.

Edit: expecting

identity.kde is supposed to be used across KDE websites based on my understanding. But I am not able to login using my ID from identity.kde.

Does anyone know why or should I create a new account there?

It is indeed true that the overall mechanism of handling widgets is bothersome.

How did it go?

For almost any community on the desktop I get to see only single digit posts or nil. The same community accessed through any app on my phone has lots of posts.

I have tried to understand the language selection thing in Settings on desktop, but I am unable to understand my language selections. There seems to be no way to know if a language or undetermined are presently selected.

How do I ensure that I can access all posts while browsing the default UI on the desktop?

The Alexandrite UI seems to show almost all posts like the mobile apps.

I have recently bought this Acer monitor which is a matte finish IPS screen with resolution of 1920x1080 and diagonal size of 23.8.

I generally prefer small fonts on screen to get maximum information density. But after getting this monitor, I feel that the fonts are not clear, blurry or pixelated.

What KDE System Settings > Appearance > Fonts should I use to get crisp fonts at low sizes such as 10 or 8? What fonts are good at low sizes for display?

Questions: Should I force the DPI to 96 as I used to do on my previous monitors? Some solutions are suggesting that I increase the DPI and lower font size. How does that work?

Note: I do not like scaling and making things bigger than they are already, I am trying to shrink the size rather.

My primary OS is PCLinuxOS but I also use Neon, Fedora KDE.

I use Firefox and while on the phone I use different apps and set my preferred font, I am not able to find the place to change the font for the web interface.

The default font appears very blurry to me compared to other websites.

I have forgotten where in the app are saved posts and comments. In the profile section there is only my posts and comments.

I whole heartedly appreciate KDE devs for thinking of and implementing the Similar to this feature for widgets.

My favorite distro now defaults to Icons Only Taskbar which I hate because it does not let me see which window is running which tab/directory etc. Now all I have to do is right click on the widget and select similar to this option. It automagically changes into the normal task manager.

Thank you so much for this.

I remember reading a set of books timed in the 1800s or something. The background is a typical English manor, landlords, horse carriages.

Heroine is typically a young lady working as nanny or an impoverished by circumstances noble woman. There is a moody or mysterious hero.

I read them as Ebooks. But the stories were written by a contemporary author.

Please help me identify the titles.

I have this Gigabyte B450M D3SH motherboard running my now ancient AMD Ryzen 2200G with 16 GB RAM. If my memory serves right, it was working as expected with the original BIOS. Since I always like shiny things (software side when free) I went to update the BIOS sometimes a few months ago. Initially I attributed the random changes of boot order to CMOS battery outage and kept postponing the battery change. Recently I finally managed to change the battery but still the problem persists.

I multiboot between various Linux installations and Windows installs. So I use rEFInd as my boot manager. Whenever I set it as boot manager it works for the next reboots until the computer is shutdown. On reboot it takes the Windows bootloader from my second hard drive and boots into it straight away. I thought it might be something to do with secure boot, but even when I have set Fedora as the default boot, it still goes to Windows.

Now the only way I have of booting any other OS is by getting into BIOS.

Is there any fix for this?

I came across this post while searching for a solution and it does not give me much hope - https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/zagupr/my_boot_priority_order_keeps_resetting_itself/jkqpa2p/

What if I flash an older BIOS on this motherboard?

I had cloned my original hard disk installation to SSD using Macrium Reflect. But it caused confusion because they had the same UUID.

My plan is to regularly image the Windows partition to the spare hard disk as a backup in case of SSD failure.

I remember typing on the HP XT keyboards from 1992 or so. They were soft touch with no click, you just go all the way down smoothly if you push hard. This would allow one to type silently without causing the keyboard noise.

Where can I find such type of keyboards?

EDIT: I bought the Dell KB216 and presently am happy with it. Let us see how it ages.
