Wernher Von Braun? This one?! Hahahah

Gather 'round while I sing you of Wernher von Braun A man whose allegiance Is ruled by expedience Call him a Nazi, he won't even frown "Ha, Nazi, Schmazi" says Wernher von Braun

Don't say that he's hypocritical Say rather that he's apolitical "Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down? That's not my department" say Wernher von Braun

Canada? What's your background is the honest answer because if you can get some sort of naturalization through your parents it's the best bet.

Honest question though if YouTube has taught me anything it's that America is unique on if you leave you're still obligated to pay taxes to America and if your renounce your citizenship you're still obligated to pay America. Seriously the country is a racket.

I mean it sucks and I drink coke (it's my mix for booze) but it's a welcome change (price increase). Soda pop should not be drunk as frequently as it is by people and anything to make it less common is a welcome change IMHO. If becoming more cost prohibitive to people makes them drink it less that's not a bad thing

Now the challenge becomes, because America is becoming a 3rd world shithole it's possible that coke is the only safe drink because thanks to the EPA being gutted over decades water isn't safe in many areas due to contamination. That's not cool.

Don't mistake my pity with my wanting justice. There is no excuse for him being an insufferable asshole that has negatively impacted the lives of so many people.

I am simply stating that I understand him to be a small man and in that I have pity.

[–] whoisearth 1 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Yeah I get it. To many people they are past the pity phase. I struggled myself putting that. He is a broken man tearing the world down because deep down he is hurt. Hurt people hurt people.

Fuck now I want a smoke!

[–] whoisearth 4 points 3 days ago (7 children)

I said this long ago on Lemmy. I pity him. He has nothing of value.

If shit hit the fan I have many around me who love me and want me to succeed. I have 3 kids who rely on me and love me deeply. I have coworkers who love me. I have family who love me. I also love all these people back immensely.

What he has is stuff. Stuff leaves you cold and empty inside. He has no one who loves him. He's probably a cold, cruel and heartless person when he's alone and I bet he's alone a lot. No one loves him for who he is.

Seriously he's the richest man in the world and he's so small. He deserves our pity nothing more.

CC and coke is so damn good. Especially the 12 year aged one. And now I want a rye and coke

Same. Until insurance reforms happen there is no incentive for me to have a self driving car.

[–] whoisearth 3 points 5 days ago (2 children)

They should but I'll go one further. Liability should be 100% with the auto manufacturers and car insurance should disappear or be drastically reduced assuming maintenance warranties are met. If I'm buying a FSD car I don't want any liabilities when it comes to safety.

User accounts are fragmented and just because you signed on at lemmy.world doesn't mean your account exists on lemmy.ca.

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/1985

Communities are fragmented and /c/games on lemmy.world is completely different than the one on lemmy.ml with its own users, set of posts, etc.

Lemmy does not currently allow for instance or user migration.

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3057

Nor does it allow for shared communities (ie the aforementioned /c/games is unified across multiple instances)

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3100

We are in the early days. If you're eager feel free to join in the development on these any many other core issues. There's real potential here.
