3. No PornThis instance is not made to host porn communities. You're free to access porn communities on other instances through your account, but be mindful of Rule 4.

4. Use the NSFW tagUse your common sense: if you wouldn't want this image to show up on your work computer, tag it as such. In comments, use the

7. Right to privacyDo NOT distribute the personal information of someone else without their consent (aka doxxing). Information that is public domain can be shared, provided it is in good faith.
ex: The official email of an elected official is fair, the private phone number or the real name of a non-public person is NOT.

8. Report abuseThe report function isn't labelled the disagree button. You might not agree with someone, but that doesn't mean what the person says is against the rules. Using it repeately in this fashion will lead to actions being taken against the reporter.

9. ImpersonationDon't make an account with the intent to negatively deceive or defame someone on the fediverse.
ex: Parody of a famous person is okay, submitting outrageous content as appearing like another user, mod or admin isn't.

WASHINGTON, July 15 (Reuters) - U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the removal of half of the 4,000 National Guard troops who had been sent to Los Angeles to protect federal property and personnel during a spate of protests last month, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

We’ve spoken with one of the co-founders of British game developer legends Sensible Software.

Sensible Software remains one of the most iconic names in gaming history, celebrated for its innovative designs, sharp humor, and a catalogue of unforgettable titles. From Sensible Soccer to Cannon Fodder and Wizball, the studio helped define an era with games that were as diverse in concept as they were groundbreaking in execution.

Vilain Pingouin -- meaning Ugly Penguin in English, is a Quebecois rock band that has been active ever since 1986. Originally playing in English rock bands, the singer/guitarist Rudy Caya and the drummer Michel Vaillancourt wish to expand into more franophone music, originally forming a band called "Les Taches", until they expanded the band more and called themselves Vilain Pingouin.

Information sourced from the bands wikipedia page. Further information from the band itself it available on their website, including oncoming tour dates and merch!

As someone learning french, I must say this band is quite nice. The music is quite nice, and the lyrics are clearly pronounced well enough that I can follow along without much difficulty.

Trump-aligned congresspeople aren’t spreading wildfire disinformation in a vacuum; American social media giants are enabling a haze of conspiracy theories and misinformation about the wildfires ravaging Canadian forests, and are disguising the fossil fuel industry's role in the crisis, researchers have found.

A sign points the way to the emergency room at the hospital in Kitimat, B.C. The hospital’s ER crisis peaked in January, 2024, when it was shuttered for almost 250 hours.

Don Glasgow is lucky he had a heart attack on April 24.

Had his organ faltered after 7 p.m. a day earlier or a day later, he would have found the doors locked at his nearest emergency department in Lillooet, a mountain town about two hours from Kamloops.

I had a small flock of 3 hens who all got along once the pecking order was figured out.

One day, a lower hen became broody and I allowed her to hatch a clutch of eggs. This broodyness made her a bit defensive and caused some issues with the top hen.

Once the eggs hatched I separated her and her chicks to a nursery space away from the other hens until I felt they were old enough to free range, ~4 weeks. I didn't move her while nesting because I was afraid of breaking her broodyness.

Gradually she became less and less protective and has now returned to laying eggs. The chicks are independent approaching 8 weeks, although still attached to the mother hen. They are still roosting/nesting separately to the other hens in the nursery coop.

When the bullying happens now, she submits immediately to the lead hen and has no protective urges for the chicks.

The issue is that the top hen isn't letting up and I'm concerned about what happens when the chicks become too big to fit in the nursery coop and everyone needs to roost together.

I've seen some recommendations to separate the one being bullied for awhile, others to separate the bully and others to let things play out. One thing I was potentially going to wait out was for the rooster chick(s) to grow up enough to police the hen fighting.

Any other suggestions here?

I'm trying to add a word to my filter. Let's say it's "orange". I type "o", it collapses my keyboard, says saved settings. I type "r", same thing. I takes forever to type in a word. Can it update after I type more or hit enter or save settings?

Junkhouse was a considerable force in the 1980s-1990s Canadian alternative rock scene, but disbanded in 1998, but have been sporadically active throughout the last few decades. Wikipedia has them listed as currently active, although there has not been any new songs since 1998.

A good portion of the band has passed away. In a most Canadian fashion, the second guitarist Dan Aachen actually passed away from a heart attack while playing hockey.
