Edit: Never mind, I see that the chart in question seems to be from a month ago, and that's why it doesn't match.

Just to be clear, is your chart based on the poll's seat projection, or % of vote? The numbers don't seem to match the source's vote federal popular vote projection:

Canada338 federal popular vote projection on April 7, 2025 vs chart in image:

  • Liberal Party: 44% vs 47.5%
  • Conservative Party: 38% vs 35.6%
  • New Democratic Party: 8% vs 6.3%
  • Bloc Québécois: 6% vs 4.8%
  • Green Party: 2% vs 2.0%
  • Peoples Party: 2% vs 2.0%

I compared it to the seat projection percentages, but that didn't seem to match either. Not sure what's going on here.

I'm still surprised that so many people support the conservatives at this point. I really don't understand why anyone would support them. The only reason I can find is that there's either a lot of misinformed/ignorant people, or a lot of people with a total lack of sympathy for anyone else but themselves.

Frequent arguments I hear goes along the lines of "I don't want to pay taxes to provide services to other people. I want to keep my money and pay for my own services and fuck anyone else who can't. They should just work harder."

And to me this is such a huge disconnect from reality and total anti-social behavior.

I'm not sure what this has to do with my comment, but yes, it's bizzare. It's like they're living in an alternate reality dictated by their talking heads, and without critical thought or reflection.
