Not related, haven't seen this one before.

Is it still happening? Is it with all images, or just a specific one? Can you try an incongito window or a different browser to rule out any cache issues?

Oh, it seems I can’t upload an image for a post anymore, either. I’d thought my problem was restricted to including them in replies.

I haven’t touched browser settings in a number of days. My browser was last updated…eleven days ago and no problems until yesterday. What little change could I be forgetting about…

Is it too big of an image? Try a different / smaller file
What browser?
Try an incognito tab
If that solves it, it's a plugin or cache issue on your side
If that doesn't solve it, if you could open your developer console and get me the raw request/response that's failing and DM it to me

I tried it with two images yesterday. I’ll try it again here now.

Same error.

It could well be something in my browser settings that Lemmy doesn’t account for. I don’t have another browser heavy enough to try it at all.

I’ll try a private window under the assumption that’s chromespeak for the same thing. probably alt text goes in here?

So yeah it's probably a plugin or something. Do you have any privacy / ad blockers installed? One of them might be doing it.

My only plugin is UBlock Origin.

I’ve never used a private window; I’ll have to learn what they do exactly.
