GBA: I really like the remakes of the first Pokémon releases, being Fire Red and Leaf Green. It just makes me wonder why they never went with Green for the international release of the Game Boy version.

PSP: Patapon 2. It's kind of impressive that they made a rhythm game with an actual storyline, being that you're a god that is guiding a tribe to "Earthend", using a set of drums to give them commands. I thought it was the best game in the series, and even has a remaster on the PS4 if you're interested in that.

Yeah, those are the only consoles I have actually played. It's not fun being in a country where video games are astronomically expensive.

My fondest memories:

Commodore 64: Jumpman, Bruce Lee, Donald Duck's Playground

Atari: Mario Bros, Joust, Yars' Revenge, Star Raiders

NES: Zelda 1/2, SMB2, Dragon Warrior, Blaster Master, Goonies 2, Mega Man 2

SNES: SimCity, Actraiser, Chrono Trigger, Populous

PS2: Intelligent Qube, Katamari Damacy/We Love Katamari, Jumping Flash, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland, Okami, GTA: Vice City

Switch: Zelda BoTW, Animal Crossing New Horizons

I left consoles behind after PS2 for PC gaming (until ACNH). Even then, I'm not big on controller games, preferring keyboard and mouse. Not listing least favorites because I've apparently forgotten about them.

Least favorite is anything JRPG turn based. Not for me.

Pong, Intellivision, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, NES, TurboGrafix 16, Atari Jaguar, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, N64, PS1, GameCube, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PS5, GameBoy, GameGear, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, GameBoy Advance SP, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS.

I might actually have forgotten a couple random ones. I'm pretty sure I've played with some Magnavox POS before but I don't remember what it was called, just that you had to put cellophane things over your TV for it to work because it basically only drew your character and not the backgrounds. And I'm not counting every attachment for the Genesis as a separate console.

I'm not sure I can even remember my favorite and least favorite for each one... A lot of those consoles sucked 🤣

Whoa, you've played a Magnovox Odyssey 2! That's got me beat.

My god father had a bunch of that old shit. He has a laser disk game console, too. He was the cool uncle 😎

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Uh, I think you forgot to add your favorite game for each of those! 😁

NES: The Legend of Zelda

Sega: Primal Rage

PS1: Vigilante 8 (close second Medal of Honor)

Xbox: Morrowind (my first experience with both this genre and open world), followed by Halo CE

Pretty much stopped with consoles and stuck with PC thereafter.

NES: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

GB: Pokemon Red

SNES: Panel de Pon

GBC: Mario Tennis

N64: Paper Mario

GBA: Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django

I don't want to try to pick out a least favorite for every single platform. But I'll name just the two games I detest most: Puyo Puyo Tetris and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, because I blame them for killing the IP today.
