i'm planning on upgrading lemmy.ca to v0.17.0 on friday evening (Feb 3, 2023), probably starting around 9pm CST.

it sounds like the database upgrade required could take a while, so expect at least a few hours of downtime.

From what I have seen, the latest update seems to have brought several problems for instance admins. I may wait for a week or two before upgrading Sopuli.

yeah, i've seen some of the chatter on matrix about. i'll see what happens today & tomorrow and maybe will put off the upgrade, depending on what happens.
