RULES (updated 01/22/25)

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling. To be concise, disrespect is defined by escalation.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible. You won't be punished for trying.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (politics or societal debates come to mind, though we are not saying not to talk about anything that resembles these). There's a guide in the protocol book offered as a mod model that can be used for that; it's vague until you realize it was made for things like the rule in question. At least four purple answers must apply to a "controversial" message for it to be allowed.
  4. Keep it clean and SFW: No illegal content or anything gross and inappropriate. A rule of thumb is if a recording of a conversation put on another platform would get someone a COPPA violation response, that exact exchange should be avoided when possible.
  5. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc. The chart redirected to above applies to spam material as well, which is one of the reasons its wording is vague, as it applies to a few things. Again, a "spammy" message must be applicable to four purple answers before it's allowed.
  6. Respect privacy as well as truth: Don’t ask for or share any personal information or slander anyone. A rule of thumb is if something is enough info to go by that it "would be a copyright violation if the info was art" as another group put it, or that it alone can be used to narrow someone down to 150 physical humans (Dunbar's Number) or less, it's considered an excess breach of privacy. Slander is defined by intentional utilitarian misguidance at the expense (positive or negative) of a sentient entity. This often links back to or mixes with rule one, which implies, for example, that even something that is true can still amount to what slander is trying to achieve, and that will be looked down upon.

Chicken vegetable stir fry. I've had the ingredients prepped for a couple days now. It was pretty good.

I had an azteca plate and a trash can from a place called Rico's :)

I didn't know what a trash can was or that it came with an energy drink but I was kinda into it.

@Lazycog @iii Bruh leftover lasagna is legit better than fresh. Maybe I'm crazy but I love it

[–] [email protected] 3 points 21 hours ago

This is so true! The consistency is also so much better for some reason when you reheat Lasagne!

My twenty pounds of corned beef brisket is about ready to come out of the brine. Gonna make some corned beef and cabbage with some of it, some corned beef slaw with other parts, slice about a pound for sandwiches and freeze the rest.

Homemade sushi. One of these days, I'm going to find a cheaper source for nori ...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

That looks so hard to make! Enjoy

It does look pretty messy when I make it, so that's definitely true! Making it look professional is a high art, especially at speed.

It's also a great way to trick myself into eating more vegetables (don't tell the sushi purists).

I'll be having chicken and beans curry in a wrap.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

That sounds awesome! How do you keep it from becoming a soggy mess? I'm already struggling to make it keep its shape with just uncooked vegetables and meat ...

Leftover rice with fried egg, green onions and some veggies.

Frozen paella. We're both exhausted and we don't have the strength to cook anything 😅

[–] [email protected] 4 points 21 hours ago

Either chicken curry or paprika hendl. Something with chicken, it's thawed and needs to be cooked tonight

[–] [email protected] 4 points 22 hours ago

Greek yoghurt with stuff. Because I can. (And am lazy)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 21 hours ago

Mississippi pot roast. It's my first time making it and my mind is kinda blown at how simple and tasty it is.

@iii Yeah I'm really looking forward to it... I'm hoping all the hot sauces I slathered on last night soaks into the noodles more.
