It feels like there's some context missing here. Even Chicago police wouldn't just stand a row of cops in front of a Tesla dealer to "protect" it in the middle of the day. One squad and two officers tops would accomplish the same thing.
Probably a legal protest with an overblown police presence because they often get hazard, overtime and off duty bonuses. An hour at a protest can be worth effectively 4 so if a 10 hr protest happens they may actually make a work week of pay.
An Indivisible protest was planned. This reaction is absurd because Indivisible has always operated within the law.
What, are they gonna live there?
The building can't run, and we have shows to watch while they make some overtime pay.
They only have so many officers. How many locations can they cover? For how long?
Guerilla forces only need to be lucky once.
