Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Summary

Elon Musk claimed no one has died from U.S. foreign aid cuts, but reports from South Sudan prove otherwise.

The shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. and PEPFAR programs has already led to deaths, including children with HIV who lost access to lifesaving medications.

Malnutrition rates are rising, and maternal care clinics are closing, threatening thousands more lives.

Experts warn the aid freeze could lead to widespread disease and famine. Critics argue the cuts undermine U.S. global influence while shifting power to China and worsening humanitarian crises worldwide.

Do you...you mean he lied??

Article is misleading - he said, "No one important."

No one white

How would he possibly know, anyway. I sincerely doubt he's one to read reports on the fallout from his stupidity.

Oh that's simple. He's a drug addicted liar who will say anything he needs to say to get what he wants. This dude calls people Pedophiles when they disagree with his opinion. He has the temperament of a child. Him and Trump are a match made in heaven.

Also, most deaths are not immediate.

Malnutrition, HIV, even dirty water take a while to kill anyone. Arguing nobody died yet is like throwing 30 children off the roof and saying nobody's hurt, since they're still 5m above ground.

It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end. Ergo, I am not responsible for the deaths of those kids.

It's even hard to make that joke nowadays, because that's literally an argument Musk is pushing.

because that's literally an argument Musk is pushing.

Just like children.

If they really want to get Trump and Musk to care the picture should have white children.

Very powerful illustration of the people this could affect in the article
