I have a song for you, it's from the late 90s.

I have a group for you, they're from the late 80s.

Now I know. They were doing spectacular shows.

That one about Dubai and Aberdeen?

Yo, listen up, here's a story about a little guy that lives in a blue world.

And all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue, like him, inside and outside.

Blue his house with a blue little window and a blue Corvette.

And everything is blue for him and himself and everybody around, 'cause he ain't got nobody to listen...

everybody be jamming to this song until you realise the lyrics is about depression

[–] MadMadBunny 7 points 5 days ago (2 children)

That’s also why I fervently defend that the lyrics actually say: "I would bleed, I would dye; I would bleed I would die"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (2 children)

wow that's a real Laurel/Yannie situation (it's Yannie btw)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I still hate that one. totally manufactured to piggyback off the dress and depends on people with hearing damage to work. nobody will hear someone saying Laurel as yanny unless they have hearing damage and the person speaking is electronic.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

hearing damage? what you hear simply depends on the pitch and how your brain interprets the sound

I used to live next to an apartment complex called the Laurel, my wife would always sigh and roll her eyes when I called it the Yannie.

So, about your colourblindness...

Downvotes are for putting that ear worm into peoples’ heads. Probably.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Hell no! My ass going to Spotify to play it right meow.

[–] [email protected] -4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

You say that, but you’ll have better luck on YouTube. You’ll put the song you want into Spotify and it will play any and all songs triggered by its “similar” algorithm. There’s a high probability it will take days of trying to hear a single, specific song on Spotify.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 5 days ago

Days? No. Try years, if ever. I’m still getting recommendations of kids songs from years ago when I let my kids use my account.

🎶 I'm GREEN. If i was blue, i would dye. If i was blue i would dye. 🎵

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 days ago (2 children)

I’m blue, I’m in need of a guy

I’m in neeed of a guy

I’m in need of a guy (repeat as necessary)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

It was a great mystery at the time what was actually being sung there.

Along with yours, we also had:

I'm blue, I believe I'm a dog,
I believe I'm a dog,
I believe I'm a dog.

And

I'm blue, I believe I will die
I believe I will die
I believe I will die.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

It was the first album I ever bought... And I am pretty sure I only listened to that one song.
