Le Canada ne devrait toutefois pas en rester là. Avec une fiscalité de l’énergie et des transports qui représente à peine 0,8 % de son produit intérieur brut (PIB), contre une moyenne de 1,3 % dans le club des pays développés de l’OCDE, 1,6 % en Allemagne, 1,8 % au Royaume-Uni et 2,3 % en France, le Canada pourrait en faire beaucoup plus en matière d’écofiscalité, en recourant, par exemple aux péages routiers et aux autres taxes sur le transport, constate l’étude d’un peu plus de 150 pages.
Savoir qu'on peut doubler voir presque tripler la fiscalité de l'énergie et des transports...
