Due to the two piece construction here you would have to wrap this whole thing in sealant to keep water out because (to para-quote Dr. Ian Malcolm) "water uhh finds a way".
Dab of anti-sieze or stainless hardware would be my go to if I wanted to pull this apart after a couple years.

I feel bad for Model 3 and Y owners who wanted affordable electric cars, but if you bought one of these piles of junk it's pretty clear you didn't do so for "practical" reasons. Thoughtful response. I'm actually all for posting both - having access to original sources is incredibly important, especially in this day and age. Also, while I despise paywalled or ad-heavy slop, I also am not a fan of clicking URL shortened links where what's on the other side could be nefarious (and I certainly won't be the first to click it.) And for the person that will say it... no, I don't care enough to remember which ones I can always trust.
