I'm glad I noticed this was The Beaverton before I went and burned down the local Superstore.

Could just ignore that itโ€™s the Beaverton and do it anyways

Isnโ€™t a for profit food bank just a grocery store?

[โ€“] Showroom7561 7 points 4 months ago

Yes, but I'm sure there's some tax benefit to calling it a food bank. #RecordProfits

France was a place and late 1700s was a time when peasants found a solution to this issue.

Let them eat cake?

The pages of The Beaverton today, the Toronto Star tomorrow.

LET THEM EAT CAKE - Galen, probably.

I legitimately thought it was a foodbank that required proof of poorness somehow and charged a little above cost(donโ€™t worry I hear Loblaws is also the supplier so theyโ€™ll just inflate the cost).

My hopes are dashed upon the rocks such that seeing it was a Bearverton article sparked no joy in me.

I laughed way too hard at this. God damn the Beaverton is just on fire these days...
