Yes, the same media campaign that has gotten the public at large (including young previously 'liberal' generations) to believe Trump's lies is happening in Canada. Aside from a neutral reputable public news source that is CBC, we are hardly insulated from it.

Besides that bs, I notified my friend about it and his reply was instantly 'fuck trudeau '...I was amazed at the brainwashing when it's not even trudeau or his government cronies pushing this agenda but the side he's rooting for.

As someone who moved here from Scandinavia (Sweden) we're hardly immune to extremist right-wing philosophies and political movements. Case in point: the former Nazi party won the last general elections in Sweden and is making a right old mess of the country as we speak.
And while it's not Norway, our closest neighbors haven't been insulated from the right wing populist tide either, judging by the news.
