Hey, man. No problem. Happy pride.
Yes! Thank you to everyone who makes this place what it is.
We appreciate you as well! 😁
As a mod of a few mostly quiet communities on lemmy.ca, I'd note that there isn't actually a lot of work involved. Like, I check the ModeratorView every few days just to make sure something didn't slip through my feed, read some comments, and then return to scrolling. I have never actually had to take a real moderator action. It's actually crazy how nice everyone is, even the ones that disagree with me :)
Like check the modlog on lemmy.ca -- it's not that busy.
Maybe the stereotype of us Canadians being too nice has some truth to it eh? 😅
Seriously though, I'm glad to hear that it's not just me that finds the .ca users to be quite pleasant overall!
I think we are more like the trash-pandas of the fediverse (and I mean that with a lot of love and respect .... because I love trash-pandas (aka raccoons))
We occupy the quiet corners of the fediverse and keep to ourselves and keep ourselves busy with the little activity we have. We make lots of stuff and we are building a huge underground community.
But like our real world trash-pandas, eventually we're going to be noticed and people will want to either encourage us for the lovable, smart, cute little creatures that we are .... or they'll start harassing us to get out of their attic and garage.
Lovable. Smart. Cute. And absolutely terrifying when cornered.
Relevant picture of my friend morty from 4:30 this morning when he realized I was awake early and might have breakfast.
Your friend Morty looks fun
Also happy cake day!
Ooh, thanks!
You're one of my favourite users on .ca tbh, I really like reading your comments about our history as Natives and your experiences growing up. You're always bringing up issues that affect Natives and I really appreciate that. Seems like a lot of Canadian's at best don't care about our struggles and at worst, hope that we do worse as a people.
Thanks for being a prominent part of this instance and doing a good job speaking about our people. Nothing but respect for you my friend.
I'm not Canadian not even French hell I can't even speak English, but I thanks the admins for allowing me here <3.
The more good people here, the better! :)
