Bigots have learned the power of organization because their whole operating model resolves around preying on societal outliers. This was as real in 1980 as it is in 2023. The problem is we continue to collectively dismiss them.

We've already had an attempted takeover of anti-SOGI types in local school boards.
A similar effort was tried in Manitoba, but the nutters had little success.
This is called Normalcy Bias. Since it failed last time, we shouldn't do anything to counter it.
This allows tragedies to happen. Don't enable it.
Just because they failed last time, doesn't mean they'll fail next time.

They only have to win once to destroy education. And it'll take years to fix if they manage to "take over" like they want to.
Just look at abortion rights in America.
