DNC doesn’t need the help. They did this all by themselves.
Hell, they’re still blaming progressives and chasing “centrists.”
Archive photo of Chuck Schumer:
And here’s one of the progressives.
You’re sure these are progressives? The group that have been trying to get their ideas enacted into law? Ideas like public education, healthcare, and liberty?
Democrat “ideas” seem to be giving Hitler Sudetenland and hoping he will be appeased. I could do with fewer of those “ideas.”
... Are you serious?
Democrats have been running on the 'Are you fucking insane!?!?' bandwagon for years, while progressives have been 'meh, why bother to vote for genocide Joe, I'm sure they're both the same'.
Weird you think the "look how insane and fascist these people are" is a good campaign when your own party head is currently enabling genocide...
Like he could have just not done that, and Dems probably would have won. Continuing to shovel more bombs hoping some stern words would get the war criminals to change their minds was a stupid strategy. They made no change in their actions and hoped it would work out, despite knowing how unpopular that was
Lol, yes, that response from democrats to progressives who say our country is in crisis and needs bold change is why they're losing
You made that change, well chosen!
Enjoy the camps.
Lmao, I love how 8 months ago, liberals were swearing up and down that if they proposed any big policies or changes they'd lose moderate voters, and now 6 months later they're saying progressives fucked them for telling them they'd lose if they didn't
If I collaborate with the fascists like the liberals are i don't have to
Everyone assumed progressives weren't that impossibly stupid.
Just like we assumed conservatives could never be stupid enough to elect somebody as crazy as Trump.
Horseshoe theory wins again!
You don't even know what you're talking about, that's how childish you are, you think everyone who doesn't agree with everything you believe in are fascists.
Remember how after all of Stalin's purges and Hitler's Nazis being killed, we had 50 years of peace?
I suspect it's because all the assholes who don't let people have peace were dead.
I look forward to the 2050s through to the 2010s, when all you fuckers are out of everyone else's misery :)
Are you one of those 'progressives voted 3rd party or abstained' people, or are you a 'progressives killed momentum and caused normies to stay home' people? Because how I address you next really depends on where you land on the 'blame progressives' scale
Libs are desperate to believe that the actually-real conditions in the US are fine, if not great - and everyone flocking to the right and left of them is just because they're being propagandized by foreign adversaries and not due to any real systemic issue.
I guess I'd just float the possibility that maybe the reason populism is on the rise is because capitalist democracy is failing, and a growing majority of people have lost faith that democratic reform is possible at all. Democrats continually insisting that there is no actual crisis and we just need to calm down and return to a status-quo (or constantly telling us now is not the time for reform) is contributing to this voter apathy, even while they're screaming about the dangers of fascism (as absolutely real as they are).
No, I believe the people conducting genocide and throwing protestors in labor camps are fascists, and the white moderates in the 'opposition' party who feign outrage but can't be bothered to lift a finger to stop it are collaborators. I don't even think democrats need to adopt economic populist positions to win, really - they could start adopting the reactionary positions on the populist right, too, and maybe stand a chance (though it would be hard to out-reactionary Trump). The middle is just a hollowed out husk tho - if they stay there they'll never win again
Libs try beating the fascist collaborator accusations challenge, impossible
I swear to God. One day I'm gonna meet a "blue maga" democrat when we're both in one of Trumps death camps and they'll still be complaining about how leftist didn't vote hard enough. Meanwhile they'll have done nothing but say this same thing over and over again during the entire rise of fascism.
THE DEMOCRATS FAILED TO GET THE VOTES. THAT IS A FAILURE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY NOT ANY VOTER BASE.
Holy shit. It's like people don't understand how voting works. If there were a lot of people that thought "meh they are the same" then THATS A FAILURE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!
More to the point, that rhetoric is in blatant bad faith.
Except they can't even be that honest; they'll say "BuT PrOgReSsIvEs CaN't WiN" without even the slightest hint of realization or self-reflection that the votes the progressive would be missing are theirs.
Fuckin' lying hypocrites, all of them.
To be fair, the last time the DNC got behind a progressive candidate for president, Nixon won like 48 states and it hasn't really recovered since. It's not hard to see why they are still in fear of that event. The issue seems to be the rotting shrubbery infesting politics from a lack of term limits.
We just have to tack hard to the right one more time and then it’ll be time for progressive policies. This time for reals. Pinky-swear.
You are shrooming, I'm not white, I got my family out to Europe before this nightmare happened.
I had 0 faith in the left to vote to stop the genocide of brown people at home, in favor of Russian trolls telling them they can't vote blue or they support a genocide somewhere else.
Morons fooled by 'look over there!'
But thankfully my family is safe, enjoy your camps, you will not be missed.
So you told people to vote Blue no matter who with the full knowledge that you had a privileged position of being able to literally move to another country. Cool. Thanks for your input.
Calling a genocide "look over there". Wow you're about as gross of a person as I'd expect for your brain dead takes. Thanks for verifying it.
You also didn't reply to anything I said. You're still trying to place collective blame in people making individual decisions to avoid placing blame on a literal political party who's job is to educate people to get their vote. They failed. Simple as that.

Suck the genocide you enabled.
Not just there, but in America as well.
You have still not responded to anything I said mate.
But you continue to be gross. I really wish you would direct this anger at the party that completely failed America in offering any alternative to a genocide.
You failed America!
I lived in the south, I'm not white, and I don't want my mixed-race daughter being Raped to death by rednecks who had were bored on a weeknight.
Your privilege is unbelievable.
You gambled with other peoples' lives for your own self-righteousness, knowing if you lost it cost you nothing.
I genuinely believe you are just a sock puppet, I've never met an American who behaved anything like you, and I live in the bay area.
But if you are truly American, enjoy the camps.
Still have yet to respond to what I said. You're looking for someone to blame but refuse to direct that blame at a political party that failed you.
We're not getting anywhere in this conversation if you just keep ignoring that point and trying to avoid that by trying to appeal to your personal life.
You keep trying to make this about yourself or about me. This is about a failure of politicians you refuse to denounce in favor of critizing some imagined group of people with no power or influence.
That doesn't mesh with the expressed views of Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.
What would you consider AOC? I would call her a progressive, but maybe the disconnect we're having is over definitions more than anything else.
What are democrats doing to stop Trump? Their official policy is to do nothing.
