what do these percentages mean? is that stock value?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 35 minutes ago

For most countries that are the percentages the numbers of new car registrations by brand went down compared to same month last year.

As these are published monthly by the respective countries we can get a glimpse at the new car sales for each brand. In Germany for example in February 25 there were 76% less new car registrations Tesla compared to February 24. Meaning there were 76% less new Tesla sold than a year before.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 hours ago

Probably sales from the looks of the numbers, which is way more important.

It’s a bit dramatic though, as much of the drop is from competition.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Not to trow sand in the gears, but let's wait until the numbers after the launch of the new model Y comes in. Some buyers might waiting for that one.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 minutes ago

Lots of other car manufacturers also have new models on the market in 2025.

Some buyers might want to get those.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 hours ago

Quick, somebody tell him that changing models from X to Y makes the cars trans.

[–] Showroom7561 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Why? Are they eager to have their car set on fire?

Nobody should be buying a Tesla in 2025. It literally funds Nazis.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 hours ago

OP is right, not everyone pays much attention to what’s going on, or doesn’t think much of it from their information sphere.

That being said, I wouldn’t expect good sales either.

I dont think people grasp that he doesnt really care about tesla anymore, his shareholders are having a stroke, but he personally, has other sources of wealth that are more important to his megalomania now, namely starlink and spacex, and all the government subsidies that come from them.

at the end of the day, tesla is just a car company, and when you're a megalomaniac trying to design the entire world to your liking, thats small fry stuff

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

well, sort of. see, the way money works at that scale, everything is about leveraging stuff.

and a lot of his stuff is leveraged off tesla stock. so it won't kill him, but it will at least make an example of him, and be a substantial hit to his assets. like, change the way he lives hit to his income.

edit: assuming the banks don't just slobber all over his dick giving him a pass and free money. which they may.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 18 hours ago

Yes, the new version of "nobility" that doesn't want to pay taxes. They make a company and then get government handouts.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

That's why we need to elect someone who will get the ball rolling on jailing Musk.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 hours ago

uh, dude, there's no time for that. the next elections are YEARS away, for the process to START?

Whether you think elections matter or not, whether you think we're still getting real ones or not, we're so far past that point. they're fucking disappearing people, dude.

The potential side effects of ketamine include dissociative experiences that may lead to confusion or impaired motor coordination, cognitive disturbances, and, with repeated misuse, the risk of developing a substance use disorder.

The EV market is crashing. If you exclude Tesla from the figures, the EV market is up 13%.

We never got rid of lead water service pipes to existing houses and have a fetish for old properties. A cautionary tale really.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

also, isn't the drinking water all poop?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago

our regional monopoly water companies are world leaders in turning actual sewage (that they put there) into something that the average brit thinks of as potable water

Cyber trucks were banned for sale in the UK, so maybe they have less far to fall? Also good on them for banning those mobile dumpsters in the first place!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 hours ago

that would explain it.

These guys want to be like Russia and other 'strong men' led countries so bad, let them have a Russian economy, and the same worldwide product 'dominance' as Russia too.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 19 hours ago

Damn, dude! The Lada was shit, but it wasn't a Tesla!

Hey UK!

Can we just try not to be last for once, please?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 22 hours ago

But how else would us red, white, and blue headed step-children know how to make you somehow look better in comparison?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 day ago

Being last is what we do best

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (4 children)

One of the issues with these percentage stats is that we were not as big of purchasers of Tesla as the rest of Europe so it's going to be harder for us to have as large of drops.

If you look, France has dropped that much just to catch up with us.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Even before the others dropped you were 3rd most out of 8.

Now you're 1st most.

Germany still has higher sales than us, and we aren't much higher than France, but I'm not trying to make excuses just pointing out that percent comparisons aren't great. I think we could all do better in getting Tesla sales down to zero.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The graph is missing headers so not sure, but UK’s numbers are highest here

Yep, the screenshot of a clipped screenshot is pretty bad. I agree.

I'm doing my part. I can't afford a Swasticar anyway.

I can afford a bunch of Nazi stickers, though!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 22 hours ago

I’m thinking about putting a kit together to leave under windscreen wipers…

Option 1: dental floss to remove the Tesla badge. Option 2: a swastika sticker to put next to the Tesla badge.

That way we will know for certain if they are Nazis or not.

Excellent. Fuck Musk and all his companies. Biggest leech on the planet. He didn’t make his money, he stole it.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

His entire life, since the day he was born, has been built entirely on exploitation.

Let's go!!! Spain first, love it 😂

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This is the best way to strike back against Musk.

Hit his pocketbook. Tank his net worth.
