We don't need heroes. we need people who show up regularly. And many of them.
Therein lies your problem. I can show up for a weekend. I can show up for several weekends, in fact. I can't sit in a protest for two weeks, because I have a job I need to keep in order to eat food and own a home.
As the economy collapses further more and more people will become available for the sort of protest required of them, because they will no longer have job responsibilities. Or food. Possibly including me.
Until that time, I will be making efforts to keep my job.
This is all a part of organizing. Helping others. But you cannot organize if you do not show up. Either way you'll end up at the same place.

We need to engage the disengaged, not fight over the content of the protest.
I mean if you post online something like “Hey who wants to join my armed revolution?” then you’re gonna get the feds on you and your organization’s cover is going to get blown. If somebody does get caught and their connections can be traced back to a website or other community, then the unradicalized masses will see that website/community as a breeding ground for violence and either that website/community or the government will make the website/community clamp down and/or give up IDs of other members. Especially in an era where data is a commodity and the psychopathic tyrants are unmoved by peaceful protest, effective rebel cell formation and action has to be cloak and dagger and requires time to form an armed militia with a clear objective and a strong majority of the populace would need to sympathize. Definitely don’t abide by this info and form a rebel cell in real life, since that would be illegal and therefore bad; if you were a fictional character in the fictional Star Wars universe, for example, then go ahead.

I do think there is psyops to wedge the progressives and liberals. However, this benefits the blue MAGA nonetheless. The blue MAGA kept going on about the "lesser evil" and "perfect is the enemy of good" phrases. It occured to me that it is a thought terminating response from criticising the Democratic Party from actually being active to go further left in order to finally quash the far-right. Moreover, those phrases are also usually conservative phrases to convince people to accept the status quo. This make the Democratic party conservative. And the problem with conservatives is they would rather side with fascists, than to rein the ills of capitalism to keep the monied interests happy. The right and conservative parties in 1934 Germany elected to give Hitler absolute power while the left opposed it. Ninety years later in the US, which party allowed the GOP bill to gut welfare programmes? It is the Democrats with Chuck Schumer. Progressives have the last laugh over liberals/blue MAGA being wrong on "vote blue, no matter who" nonsense (although fascists indeed would like the left to have the last laugh before sending us to concentration camps). The Democrats would vote with MAGA regardless of whether or not they have the majority anyway!

We are the ones that lack awareness. The reason they are growing in numbers and electing idiots like Trump is that we are not connecting or engaging regular people. I have watched people in places like r/fuckcars advocate for deflating random people's tires while on their way to work. They act like that's the way to win these things. Meanwhile Trump supporters are on a lake getting drunk and blasting Creed and launching fireworks. Like there is a very serious lack of self awareness on the left. Most aren't even aware that there is a very serious decline. They're all just waiting for someone else to fix it all.

The signs on sticks are meant to engage the disengaged. The goal is to increase our numbers, not feed our small resistance to prisons and give Trump a reason to enact the Insurrection Act.

I should have been more specific in what I meant. I'm only talking about the elected officials who seem to be more interested in being seen to talk big than to actually do anything impactful.
Democrats can only talk. They were voted into minority. The only power they have is the filibuster, and that doesn’t work on executive orders or reconciliation bills.
That's another thing that makes no sense though. Most of the executive orders are illegal, unconstitutional or just not something within executive order power, yet people are following then as though they're holy edicts. It's easily the most fucked up thing I've seen happen from the federal government because it's so mindless and short sighted.
