This instance is not there to act as your billboard. If you want to promote your personal work, at least make the effort to be a contributing member of this community. Your account purpose shouldn't be to only advertise, make it natural.
6. Bot account
If you are the operator of a "bot" account, make sure to flag is as such in the account's settings.
7. Right to privacy
Do NOT distribute the personal information of someone else without their consent (aka doxxing). Information that is public domain can be shared, provided it is in good faith.
ex: The official email of an elected official is fair, the private phone number or the real name of a non-public person is NOT.
8. Report abuse
The report function isn't labelled the disagree button. You might not agree with someone, but that doesn't mean what the person says is against the rules. Using it repeately in this fashion will lead to actions being taken against the reporter.
9. Impersonation
Don't make an account with the intent to negatively deceive or defame someone on the fediverse.
ex: Parody of a famous person is okay, submitting outrageous content as appearing like another user, mod or admin isn't.

imagine if someone just like started addressing you as Dipshit, like youre just talking about your day & they say "no way Dipshit, that's crazy." and then maybe you say to them that you would prefer not to be addressed as Dipshit & their response is "well in my major metropolitan area 'Dipshit' is not considered an insult. im not saying i think youre stupid when i call you Dipshit, i call my mom dipshit all the time" so you say Thats cool but please dont call Me that. and then they just repeat that it's something they say daily, they call all of their best friends & lovers dipshits & are called dipshit in return. "my grandma calls me dipshit at the dinner table, it doesnt mean anything." so you say Yes i understand that your friends & grandma arent bothered by being called Dipshit but i am, & i would prefer if you didnt address me as that. and they say "it's literally not possible for me to stop calling you dipshit, and it's not reasonable for you to ask me to, dipshit." anyway this post is about nothing in particular

I’m still a novice when it comes to houseplants. I’ve had this baby philodendron florida ghost for a little over a month, and we’ve been having some issues.
So when I got her, I transferred to a semi hydro setup in perlite (she had sad, spindly little roots, and I was thinking it would be gentler than pon as the semi hydro roots developed). Then I put the thin, fragile thing under a grow light and scorch the few tiny green leaves that are actually photosynthesizing.
Anyway, yesterday I noticed mold on top of the perlite and it finally clicks that the perlite was holding way too much moisture. All my other plants that I transferred directly into pon are showing really impressive root growth.
I take it out of the pot and realize that there is zero new root growth. Zilch. So, I panic and repot in a very chunky mix.
As you would imagine, she is not happy, and I’m not sure what to do. I’m worried that the shock of going back into soil will cause the plant to croak, but I’m also afraid to mess with it anymore. Any advice would be appreciated!
