Summary

Sen. Lindsey Graham warned that halting U.S. military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine could be “worse than Afghanistan.”

He urged continued support until a ceasefire is reached and announced plans for sanctions on Russia’s banking and energy sectors.

The Trump administration paused aid after a heated Oval Office meeting where Trump and JD Vance clashed with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. Russia escalated attacks following the fallout.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials will meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss a minerals deal and ceasefire, while Trump seeks further concessions from Ukraine.

I hate Lindsey Graham. I hate him more than the idiots who just blatantly go along with anything Trump says.

He'll push back just so and contradict Trump a little bit, just enough to make it clear that he is not completely devoid of sense or sanity, but when push comes to shove he'll fall in line. It's like he's trying to make sure history books don't lump him in with the full blown fascists. The fact that he does seem to comprehend how disastrous everything Trump does is makes the fact he eventually goes along with it more egregious than if he were just another empty suit going along with the cult.

Trump thinks he fixed afghanistan.

Now you push back?! Fuck you Lindsey. You are a traitorous peace of shit and no one will remember you

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 hours ago

Wasn't he praising little d just last week on this very thing?

Speaking to reporters in the White House driveway right afterward, South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham predicted that the shouting match could end U.S. support for Zelenskyy, calling the meeting a "complete, utter disaster."

“Somebody asked me, am I embarrassed about Trump. I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country. We want to be helpful. What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful, and I don't know if we can ever do business with Zelenskyy again," Graham, the Senate Budget Committee Chairman, said. "The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the president, was just over the top."

Yeah, it wasn't a disaster or over the top because of anything little d or "JD" "Vance" did during their planned ambush of a guy trying to fight off a dictator invading his country. Not according to Lindsey. Last week, anyway.

Lindsey, just a few days ago:

"He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with, or he needs to change," Graham said.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 hours ago

Why the fuck does one person have the authority to make these calls anyway.

[–] [email protected] 130 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Hey buddy, wanna find that fucking backbone during confirmation hearings?

Lindsey Graham has always and will always stand for the military industrial complex and is consistently hawkish. He's shaking in his little meemaw's booties because a cessation of aid means a drop in contractor spending.

"I can't believe most Americans after what they saw today would want to be partners with Zelensky," Graham said. "Ukraine is an important ally."

-Lindsey Graham the day of Trump/Zelensky meeting where Trump threw a bitch fit.

He's a flip flopping piece of shit. He supports Ukraine but wants the man fighting for them to step down. Zelensky stepping down is basically throwing in the towel. They just want a fucking compliant leader who will do what they say.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 10 hours ago

This is the same Lindsey Graham that called Trump's manufactured temper tantrum an outrage that Zelensky was the sole person responsible for.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

And I'm supposed to take him seriously because?...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 hours ago

I doubt even Republicans take Lady G seriously.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 10 hours ago

This is just what he's saying today, already weeks late mind you. He'll be singing different soon.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 10 hours ago

Worthless traitor cunt.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 10 hours ago (4 children)

Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 10 hours ago

you won't. he'll switch sides the next time he's in bluetooth range to krasnov

[–] adarza 17 points 10 hours ago

there are a few old school, russia-hating republicans still left in congress. they just also hate a few other things closer-to-home a bit more to actually do something about the track the administration is sending us down.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 10 hours ago

How about some ladybugs?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 hours ago

In exactly 6 hours he’s going to have a 25 item list of why this is now a good thing. play both sides so he can always get fucked just how he likes.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 10 hours ago

Huh... I didn't expect Graham to regurgitate a position opposing Trump and Russia.

Somebody must've outbid the oligarchs....

[–] [email protected] 12 points 10 hours ago

Do you really think, you fat traitorous fuck?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 hours ago

lindsey gram can eat so much fucking shit. gotta be one of the most egregious examples of a high pressure firehose of bullshit spewing in any country's history. even trump's 180s are kindergarten tier by comparison

[–] adespoton 10 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Key bit: “ he urged support until a ceasefire is reached….”

Anyone remember what happened in Georgia when a ceasefire was reached?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Why go so far? Ukraine had a ceasefire with Russia between 2019 and 2022. There were even working mechanisms to deal with conflicts. Russia showed it can't be trusted.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

The Ukrainian government made no effort to implement Minsk II, had it been implemented then this war would likely not have happened.

Minsk explicity stated that elections come first and then withdrawal. Ukraine wanted Russia to withdraw first before allowing elections in the DPR and LPR which was against the agreement.

Ukraine also had the obligation to uphold linguistic rights to ethnic minorities but violated the Minsk Agreements with the 2019 language law which didn’t outright ban the Russian language but did discriminate against those who did not speak Ukrainian or an EU language.

Zelenskyy initially did campaign on a pro-peace platform but he was quickly pressured by far right militias to do otherwise.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 minutes ago

You mean the law regarding Crimea and Donbas that Europe persuaded Ukraine to withdraw a month before Nazi Russia decided to violate the ceasefire? That's a great example of the ceasefire mechanisms working.

The language law was only approved after the invasion, and given the Ruskyy Mir speech, russian speakers in Europe should count their blessings that we don't have a Stalin to do to them as their ancestors did to the German speakers in the Soviet Union - and believe me, rural Spain and Portugal could use the extra hands while still being much nicer than Siberia.

The man with no moral fiber or spine is flip flopping again

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 hours ago

He’ll say the opposite next week. Lady G just dances for whoever he’s trying to please.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 hours ago

With these comments it's difficult to tell whose cock he's gargling.

[–] Punchshark 3 points 9 hours ago

Lindsay Graham is a bitch
